Hello-
We're looking for creative ideas for use of a shut down paved round race track on the south side of San Antonio across from Toyota. The property consists of the round AUTO RACE TRACK and surrounding 30 acres.

We've thought about using it as a walking park, flea market, yard sale area, bar-b-que get togethers, party place, used car lot, taco stand, etc.

Any and all ideas welcome.

Many Thanks, 5RP

Is this the oval across 16 and Watson?

It might be a bit big for it, but my suggestion would be some kind of kart racing!

that's it majormadmax - thanks for the map.

The track and property is listed with a real-estate company for sale but we're looking for doing something with it before it sells - which in today's economy might be a while.

We're not looking on doing anything big or expensive - just a little something to do with it before it sells.

any causes that need a place for a "walk"?
You could open it to them and charge vendors (food and market style)? That's more of a one-use thing though

thats a great idea djw. Allowing charitable organizations free use of the track for charity walks is something to think about - thanks for that recommendation.
