Great to hear, more jobs in San Antonio is a good thing.
Southwest is supposed to be a good company to work for too.

Have a friend already picked up in the classes stages...they seem like a REALLY great company to work for...she has a blast and considers what she does to be more hanging out with buds than working....

Know we LOVE SW and glad to see them making the move to SA!!!

The best part of the move after more jobs of course is the location. It's about time the NE side of town gets jobs.

I'm puzzled how they'll be occupying the old K-Mart building. I thought that building was already occupied by a Maximus call center for the state.

Correct me if I am wrong but did they not lay off many people at the Medical Dr office a few years ago?

The state of Texas does occupy a building in that area and the parking lot is packed. If it's the same building, I don't know where they're going to park the hundreds of cars. The article says the minimum pay has to be $10.75 per hour under an agreement with the city, but the average pay after a year is around $30k. Experienced workers earn about $40k. It is good to see some new jobs on the NE side.

Thanks for the info. That would explain how SWA can set up shop there.
