David weekley just announced a new subdivision inside 410 on Harry wurzbach of two and three story high density townhouses. As far as I can tell this is the first project outside of the downtown core and near downtown areas. News release here :David Weekley Announced Groundbreaking at The Garden at Urban Crest - David Weekley Homes. Sounds like they have plans to expand across urban San Antonio.

They also are building a four story apartment building with dense town homes at 840 E. Mulberry St. in Midtown.

They are almost done with CityVista on Hildebrand. (looks really nice)

This project isn't setting too well with some of the homeowners in the immediate vicinity, who believe the development is too dense, and is out of character with the neighborhood. They fear the homes will be unmarketable at the asking price, and will end up being liquidated as section 8 housing.

I imagine it's a small minority who maybe moved in after el chaparral was torn down. That plot has been zoned multifamily forever, so single family townhomes aren't really a stretch. Also with homes in northwood selling north of 350k, new construction at 300k shouldn't be an issue to move.

This isn't the first of its type development built outside the urban core. Lincoln Heights has the same type of high density housing.

Where in Lincoln heights are there 3 story owner occupied townhomes? There are garden homes, but nothing that looks like the rendering of dense housing that accompanied the article that was published in the SA business journal.

I was too wondering where there is 3 story urban style, owner occupied housing in Lincoln Heights. Having been through the area, I have never seen anything like that other than the apartments nearby.
