They can put it right next to the SA-Austin airport.

Why not? Sounds like a good idea to me.

It'll be a nicer stadium for the Cowboys' preseason

Just what we need, more pressure on I35 and the surraounding land between SA and Austin. Why would that area need a growth stimulant? Is there some green areas invading the concreat and asphalt that need to be filled in?

Spend $1B for 8 regular season home games a year?

No thank you unless the team wants to pay for it.

Cities up and down I-35 can build all the stadiums they want, but the NFL -- and this hasn't changed over the years -- doesn't want to see a team in the area because of a severe lack of corporate money, a relatively un-well-off population and the enduring appeal of the Cowboys.

Those tired old arguments just aren't valid anymore. San Antonio is more than capable of supporting an NFL team and Major League Baseball team. I'll keep saying it like a mantra until all of the narrow-minded, short-sighted people on this board believe it or until we get our NFL franchise. Whichever happens first.
