Hey y'all! Anyone know of any cheap apts in a decent location that permits dogs that has month to month leasing agreements? Or perhaps long-stay hotels? Please?

I think that there's a long-stay motel called "In-Town Suites" or something that is reasonable. Otherwise, write to the person who claimed that he has continually rented brand new 2bd/2bath apartments over 1000 sq. feet for in the mid-600's per month. THe only places I'm aware of (and I've done a ton of apartment hunting in SA) will charge double that amount.

In-Town Suites does not allow pets. Otherwise, it would be a great choice for month to month renting.

Most apartment complexes charge what they call "market rate" plus about $50 on top of that when you are month to month. You get no move-in deals or free months or any type of real discounts. San Antonio is pretty pet-friendly at apts. so that shouldn't be a problem, but the "cheap" part of your request is probably going to be. Do you have to go month to month?

unfortunately, until I secure a teaching job, I can't sign a lease. I'm banking, hoping, praying for SA, but if it doesn't work out there and I get a teaching job elsewhere, I'm not going to stick around. so, until I'm 100% sure, month to month is the sanest option for me. I'm paying $650 now, so cheap by comparison would be awesome (if I could find something for like $500 ... no matter how tiny). ooh .. and I would like to add that by good location, I just mean safe. I don't mind having to drive a bit. I'm not looking for anything fancy either.

You should check the san antonio craigslist for sublets.

Well, NISD is hiring 1000 teachers, and NEISD needs 600, I think, so your chances should be pretty good. And that is just the 2 fastest growing districts. Try Park West Apartments--Blanco and West. I remember a couple of years back they had the cheapest 1 bedroom apt. on the north side. It's not the greatest area, but you want cheap! And I only mean the apartment complexes in that area--the surrounding neighborhoods are nice--Harmony Hills, and down the road Churchill Forest and Churchill Estates. There are just a bunch of apartments in that little stretch that aren't the greatest.

I am moving to SA soon and I am looking into the same thing. Do a search for Warren Properties. They are furnished short term apartments. Several in the area.

Default Landera

We are currently living in Landera apts on Blanco Rd. and Vista Real/Churchill Estates Blvd. (across from Churchill Estates) on a month to month lease and we have a dog. They have been nothing but wonderful to us. We are in an 800 sq ft apt and we are paying about $800/month. Not necessarily "cheap" but it's in a good area.

Yeah, I would check craigslist sublets. It's summer coming up, and some UTSA or other students are probably going away for the summer. Schools get out soon, so this would be good timing.
