Can anyone recommend any really good divorce lawyers in SA? Going through the phone book just seems like a waste of time... and I don't have much time to interview lawyers one by one to get a "feel" of what they're like. So, if anyone, with or without personal divorce experience, can recommend a few, that'd be great. Thanks.

A friend from work just got divorced (yesterday was final). she had an AWESOME lawyer. I will find out his name tomorrow and send you a dm. She was talking about him (her lawyer) at lunch today and us girls were joking with her and asking her for cards . She said she would just get a stack to keep on the lunch room table .

yes kids, no property. money doesn't matter, as long as i can get my spouse off my back. obviously, if there is a great family law attorney who's got a great reputation and doesn't charge an arm and a leg, that's great. however, as i said, i'd rather pay and get service, than not pay enough and never have a call returned or paperwork filed on time. thanks for the help!

Frankly, I think you should use Wayne Wright...

If he can't win your case, he can always pick up one of his seen-in-commercial phonebooks and beat your ex with it.

Don't worry about it. I can certainly wait a week... I have been patient enough for the past 5 years, I can wait a week.

Thanks for writing back to let me know. I truly appreciate it.

If you and your ex can agree on visitation, support, ect... you can file yourself (pro-se) for $260. That's what I did a little over a year ago and it went very smooth - even with kids, property, and support. A 10 minute divorce proceeding was all it took to wash away 14 years of marriage.
