You stuck flyers in everyone's mailbox asking them to log in here and post their stories about the 'bad' neighbor?

Someone's a bad neighbor, alright.

san_hen - I hate to make it sound so bad. Really, our neighborhood has been so nice and quiet over the years. But two things happened: the teenagers started spending more time outside as they got older and the neighbor behind me on Weston retired and has all day to just roam around. On a good note, we have a gang unit meeting tonight to talk about how to report suspicious activity more often so that we aren't waiting too long to make a move. I am hopefully that this will work b/c the teens will get tired of having cops rain on their fun every single time they are out there! As for my lunatic neighbor on the other street, the cops that he sent to my house, I sent to his! I recorded the neighbors dogs barking like maniacs while my dog just laid in the grass quietly! So, the peace officer went to see him about these false accusations and is going to make sure he knows that the neighbors dogs are barking. Hopefully, he will stop harrassing me!! But everyone else is a good neighbor. We all know each other by name, talk about any concerns, watch out of suspicious cars...If only we could get the teens to hang out somewhere else, it would be quiet again. I have had not other problems EVER with any other neighbor. Don't give up on us just yet new neighbor! Most of us are really good people

?? How else will we get to the bottom of this? Harrassing calls and having everyone on eggshells b/c one neighbor decides he needs absolute silence 24/7. I don't feel bad about that~

this so called "bad neighbor" sounds like the man in "lake view terrace" are all of you newbs from the same neighborhood?

Honestly complaining about a bad neighbor wont do you much, I sold my house because of an old bad neighbor, and now I am happy as a clam!

I'm not suggesting you sell your house, but heres what I did to avoid mine:

*dont make eye contact*

*get in your house quickly, if he starts a commotion*

*as RD stated get yourself a gun, in case he decides to take it a step further*

* BEST OF ALL- Just IGNORE HIM!!!!*

You could snip the dog's vocal cords. I knew a person who did that with his dog to quiet it. There are ways around the "incessant barking" stuff if your dog is doing it.

I don't think you have to be a dog hater to hate dogs barking. It certain can get annoying.

that person should be shot and never allowed to have dogs again. $100 worth of training wouldve fixed that.

agreed, It breaks my heart when I see people that have done that to their dogs. Why doesn't OP pay to snip "bad neighbors" vocal cords, that will most definably solve the problem

Dang, then what's the point of living in a neighborhood? I'd move somewhere else if I had to do all those things you mentioned.
