We need a company to pick up, sand, and powder-coat our wrought iron patio set (4 chairs, table, 3 small tables). Does SA have anything like that? Thanks in advance!

Call some of the reputable autoshop painters. They often take in special projects like that. Not sure about picking it up though. I wish I had a name to recommend.....just be warned about Extreme Collision and Body.

I have no idea about pickup, but I've seen the work that these people do:

Second Life Restoration
18745 Goll St., #209.
(210) 651-4066

They are a family owned business, very nice people. It isn't cheap, but the coating will last for quite some time. As I remember, they charged about $75 for a chair.

The other place in town is over on the southside. They're called "San-Coat"
13248 Donop Rd.
(210) 633-2880

No idea about them, but they've been around for awhile.

I used an autobody place to blast a piece I had, so that is an option, but they won't be set up for powder coating. I was charged $75 to blast, fill in a dent and paint a very large antique iron bakery shelf.

Thanks everyone! Yep, Rapscallion, it definitely isn't cheap! This is a beautiful vintage barrel-back set (with the daisies on the back top) that my parents got for a wedding present in CT. It is really, really good quality and the last powdercoat done on it was in 1994. I really want to have it done in the original black that it was in '66.
I noticed Allied Powdercoating has a branch here. I might call them also, but I will def. be calling Second Life! Thanks again all!
