I don't think the point is how much is saved, but how they were treated while trying to use a coupon they thought was valid.

Saving two dollars is a big deal to some people.

Last time we ate there, about a month ago, the food was marginal as compared to previous visits, so we are not going back.

I wouldn't assume the OP was making a big deal about it. It would seem to be that she just wanted to warn others that the restaurant would not honor the coupon and that the manager or whatever made a "big deal" out of it himself. Granted, we weren't there, but if it happened the way it sounds, nothing wrong with telling us about it. I like to use coupons myself.

10% off coupons are not even worth the paper they are printed on, in my opinion. Yes, every little bit helps, but 10% is just not a dealmaker or breaker.

We ate at that place once, and the food was decent but not so good that I'm dying to go back. There are way too many options on that 4-corner section of 1604. Yes, most are chains but if that's how a mom-and-pop is going to act when you are using their lousy coupon, count me out.

Less to do with $2 and more to do with attitude. Sounds to me like the only commotion came from the owner/manager--and potential customers should know about that.

Default Coupons of real value (not just $2)

I always find that the sites that dont require you to join usually offer crappy deals. Sorry, all I can suggest is signing up and getting a deal that's worth your time to print it. [mod]see comment[/mod]
