Well, it depends if you want to pronounce it in English or in Spanish.

In spanish it would be: sa-la-tho

and not the "a" in "bath" but the "a" in father

In spanish, when "d" is between two vowels or at the end of a word it is pronounced like the "th" in "the"

The pronunciation is not the same. Salado Creek is "Suh-lah-doe," whereas the town is "Suh-lay-doe"

We can't even agree on how to pronounce Guadalupe north or south of the river. Austonians say "Guadaloop," San Antonians say "Guada-Loop-eh."
