See, now you've got the wrong opinion of me. Yes, I am critical of San Antonio at times, but I would never want bad things to happen to the city. I'm not such a petty person, contrary to what many posters on here think of me.
The truth is I want San Antonio to improve because I do actually like it here.
Anyways, I denoted San Antonio's air quality according to my opinion. It gets dusty and hazy in the summer months when it isn't raining and allergies can get very bad in the fall. San Antonio is built around the car, so there are exhaust fumes all around the city. Not to mention we often get smoke clouds that drift from Mexico after farmer's burn their fields.
Of course I agree that Los Angeles and Houston's air qualities are much worse.
Good air quality to me is in the Northwest and Rocky Mountains.

We do have some days that Air Quality is an issue; hence the transguide signs that say "Air Quality Alert Day", gas up in the morning/afternoon, carpool, etc., something to that effect.

so, we should ride a bike in "bad air"? Since bikes are supposed to obey the same traffic laws, I can't imagine sitting on a bike in 3 minute rush hour traffic at a traffic light and not coming out smelling like an F250...
