Hey all, just had a quick question. Im trying to find some apple wood to use to smoke a turkey this holiday and Im running out of places to check. I've looked at academy, lowes, HEB, etc and still coming up short. Anyone know a place to get some? Thanks!

try bass pro shop, dick's sporting goods. if not the wood, they may have chips

Which HEB did you check? I've usually had good luck finding chunks and chips of mesquite, apple, hickory, and pecan at the HEB at 35 and 3009. I've also found all the above at the Walmart at the same interchange. Walmart also carries lump charcoal.

Why don't you go out Helotes way and stop at the Ice House, they have plenty for all your cookin' needs. What type of wood are you looking for?

sorry for the late response, its been a busy few days. Thanks for all the replies. Im still in search of the apple wood for future endeavors, and im going to check out those places that were suggested. Thanks for the help!
