Just as a tv ad for a "bring your dog night" at an upcoming hockey game, I thought that was interesting.

I know hockey often has a tough time in SA, and they are always looking for new promotions. I have been to a number of games over the years, always with comp tickets. The last time, at SBC, there were so few people that everyone literally walked down to the first rows and sat at the glass.

Anyway, I can't decide if this is brilliant, or the worst idea ever. Anyone?

I wouldn't take my dog due to the noise level, crowd, lack of comfortable floor space, bathroom issues, etc., but I suppose "dog night" would not keep me from attending.

I agree with cr1039. I have always wanted to go to a game but the pricey tickets scared me off. I remember going to Ice Bats games when I lived in Austin, and they were practically free. You'd think if the stadium is empty for every Rampage game, they would lower the price to get people in the door. Plus I really hate the AT&T center.

The dog nights are hugely successful and usually result in a pretty big crowd. Right now, the biggest problem is that we arent getting the puck in the other goal. As for the ticket costs, for about $20 you can get two tickets and theres not a bad seat in the house.

I was wondering. I thought the tickets were cheap. They're always doing promos, too......I keep promising my son I'll take him and then I never do.

Guess I need to check again because last time I looked, they were $40 a head. Plus I'm sure you have to pay for parking.

Parking is only $5 and I think you can get tickets for under $15 on a regular basis.

Coolness! $5 is great and about what we used to pay for Ice Bats in Austin. We'll definitely look into this. Thanks for letting us know about this!
