In other big cities, i can find many guys outside lowes or home depot, but in san antonio, i don't see any of them standing outside these two locations, i just want one or two guys to move something for me, and i don't wanna go to a moving company. can anyone tell me where to find these guys?

Try right around the area of W. Commerce and IH-35 or Craigslist. Please keep in mind that these guys need to eat, too, so don't be too cheap! I've heard stories from these guys about how people think they can get away with paying with a six-pack of beer or not at all. I understand wanting to pay less than the standard, but c'mon!

Most guys charge about $8 an hour...for a 2 guys for 3 hours a $50 spot is a good deal.

is it on the corner of W.commerce and I-35 highway?

Ill probably get creamed for this but....

Many of those down there are illegal aliens, con-men, drug addicts etc. The area is very high crime for a reason. The last thing they need is encouragement that standing around drinking beer all day waving at every pickup that goes by is somehow better than getting an actual job they go to every day.

Yeah, they need to eat too, but they seem to always have money for dope, booze, lottery tickets, cell phones etc.

To the OP, find a couple of college kids that would be willing to help you. Do not risk your safety, your belongings or anything else on the folks down there.

I doubt that they check the computer or post their service on Craigslist. Not day laborers
