We are considering a move to Luling, TX from Minnesota. We like that it is a small town but growing. What can you tell me about Luling. Are the people friendly? Do most people work in the city or do they leave? I hear they have awesome BBQ and Watermelons. (That is me eating) Thanks for any insight that you may have.

Blessings!

Hi Pete, what do you plan to do in Luling for a living? Or do you plan to commute in to town to work?

My family and I will be opening our own business. I am graduating from Chiropractic school and we would like to move to a smaller town where there is a need for chiropractic. At this point, the town of Luling is without a chiropractor. Do you know much about Luling? So far I really like everything I see about the city. I love that they have a golf course, swimming pool, nice parks and good eats. Any additional info would be helpful. I plan on visiting Gonzales and Luling soon to learn more about the area and the people.

I thought Lockhart was where the good eats are...not Luling. Heck, maybe it's it's both.

If you plan on holding your breath the whole time. And i am not kidding. It's a combination of cow patties and oil all the way through town. But, if you can get over that..sure why the heck not.

Did you google map the town, then stroll down all the streets and look at the houses and businesses with "street view"?

If you have kids, did you see how the schools rate on great schools website? I looked it up. The rating scale is from 1-10. The high school rates 3, the junior high rates 4, the elementary school rates 2.

There's a really great rustic furniture store close to there. It's called Texas hill country furniture.

The BBQ here was incredible... I've got a old high school buddy coming next week and Luling moved ahead of Luckenbach on my list of places to go... It's worth the drive from SA just to try the Q, IMO of course.

These guys know what they are doing...
