I was rear ended by someone a few months ago. Luckily it was at low speeds but my knee was injured. It has gotten better but acts up since then.

I need a clinic which can take an x-ray and then refer me to therapy but don't want to be scammed. Can anyone recommend a clinic that is capable of this as well as known therapists who do auto injuries?

Oh and they have to be able to accept auto insurance for payment.

I don't think anyone takes auto insurance for payment. Maybe if you have PIP coverage on your policy, but not otherwise.

Most physical therapists won't treat you unless you are referred by an MD. Maybe you should try going to an ER?

I am covered by PIP so need a clinic or doctor who can bill Progressive directly.

The insurance company is not helping at all and leaving me to do this on my own. I found one location off of Bandera, Integrated something or another, but I am leery of the quality I might get between a Walmart and a Wash Tub. They also have chiropractors and these electrical devices on offer. While I am open to holistic approaches this is a type of alternative medicine I do not put much stock into.

When I got into a car accident, I had to pay out of pocket and was later reimbursed by State Farm for the medication and doctor's visit. They also gave me a pain and suffering settlement. The clinic I went to on Nacogdoches and O'Connor was nice; they had a chiropractor in-house and various other medical professionals. Too bad it's closed now. I heard it gets harder to be reimbursed the longer you wait to seek treatment.

Sorry I can't help you out with any recommendations. I had a bunch of shady places come to my door and send me mail saying that I could receive treatment for free until they worked out a settlement with the insurance company.

Oh, did you have a chiropractor or a massage therapist? If the latter please DM me their name and maybe I can find them still?

Merovee, I know you're not asking for chiropractors AND I have no idea what insurance they accept, but Alamo Heights Chiropractic has great massage therapists and their treatments have saved me from repeat ortho surgery. They are less new age-y and more evidence-based, so you might want to consider them.

It was a chiropractor, sorry. I saw a PA because the doctor was out and he asked me if I wanted a massage from the chiropractor. I said no because I didn't have time. All I wanted were some pills for the inflammation and pain.

Thank you guys for giving me some hints. I don't feel nearly as lost in this process as I did before I posted.

If you find someone/someplace to go to, please post it here. I've been in your situation before, and i know how hard it can be to find someone that's not recommended by an attorney. Not that they're all bad, but you know what I mean.
