Hi,
This question is in General because I have no specific school in mind because Im not sure which school I will end up in until after I move to SA. So the question is if I were going to attend one of the COMMUNITY COLLEGES or one of the little trade schools, would it be more convenient to live closer to downtown area, or Medical center area? As far as I can tell, it seems like all of the community colleges are closer to downtown area, so that area would be good living area for students, and the NW/central area would be good living area for professionals. Is my assuption correct for the most part? Thanks

The community colleges are thruout most of the city. Far Westside, SS, downtown, NE, and eastside as well as several satellite branches of those schools and universities. The trade schools are the same as well. Its really more dependent on what kind of certification or degree you are looking to obtain. Check out the ACCD website for a better idea. www.alamo.edu/ Good luck in your search!

I would say yes and no.

San Antonio College (SAC) is downtown and they have many students who attend there.

But there's also Northwest Vista College (NVC) way out by Seaworld/1604 (NW) so that one is not downtown. And Northeast Lake view is way out there by Live Oak/1604 (NE). St Phillip's College is on the east side of the city. Palo Alto College (PAC) is on the far southside.

If you want a recomendation from me go with SAC or NVC. I've been on both those campuses and went to SAC for a short while.
