I'm looking to renew my private pilot license (has been 3 years since i've flown), and I am trying to find a place with cheap airplane rental. Also, does anybody know a good person to go get my biannual flight review with?

I think Stinson has the biggest population of student pilots in the area. Them and New Braunfels are training a lot of foreign students right now. KSAT also has a couple flight schools, but I'm going to assume they're not so cheap. After checking with Stinson and New Braunfels, I'd try some of the smaller fields in the area to see if they have cheaper rates (Castroville, Boerne Stage, Pleasanton, etc).

Stinson Field of course! Love4Texas, I'd look for something a couple miles away. St Phillips isn't located in a really safe area for living.
