The development at Stone Oak and 281 seems to be humming along. Anyone know what's going in there besides the SuperTarget, Borders, and Chilis? Anymore talk of turning 281 into a toll road? Thanks!

I went to the Super Target yesterday and love to be able to go shopping without getting on 1604 or going through Stone Oak. I can't wait to some more restaurants come in , we need some decent restaurants on this side of town. Bourbon Street on 1604 at Redland is the best in this quadrant of town. The new shopping centers has a Chili and there is a new shopping center development on the corner of Marshall Rd and 281 so the possibilities are endless. I wish the owners of Katrina's on Highway 46 between Spring branch and Boerne would open a restaurant on 281 closer to town.

Katrina's... is that the restaurant opened by one of the Hurricane Katrina evacuees?

I remember seeing a news piece about that place and the evacuees who started it shortly after arriving in 2005.

This was in late 2005 when I saw it on the news, if it's the same people, I'm quite happy they're still in business.

Owning a restaurant is one of the toughest things one can do and considering what happened to them and how that basically had nothing when they got here it's even more amazing. I'm sure the Bulverde/Spring Branch area love having a cajun restauant in town.

Where is Marshall Rd on 281? How far is it from Overlook Pkwy? I am exciting about the stores moving outward, hopefully they will be completed around the same time my house is ready too (Jan time frame).
