Electricity costs - Imperial Irrigation District - Considering buying a house in La Quinta and trying to get an idea of the "average" monthly electricty cost for 2,200 - 2,600 sq. ft. single-story house in La Quinta? Appreciate any feedback on costs, knowing that July, August, Setember are going to be the highest.

According to the following thread around $400 a month in July/Aug/Sept and I'd guess $300-400/mo. from Jan-April for electric heat . That's just a rough guess assuming 1 therm of natural gas = 29.3Kwh of electricity. Maybe some others can chime in with real world numbers. Probably $125-200/mo the rest of the year.
