Looking for a house to buy,I found good deals in Salton City. I like riding off road vehicles and i was thinking to get a house and ride by the Salton sea or Borrego Springs. Please give me some ideas!

There's a reason those houses are so cheap. Will you have to work?

I watched a documentary on Salton Sea not too long ago (on Vanguard?) and I was shocked by the state that community is in. Everything is dilapidated. Most small businesses have shut down, trash/debris thrown all over the streets and in the 'sea'. According to the residents that were interviewed in the documentary many people that are wanted for crimes from elsewhere flock there to hide out. It would have been nice to see Sonny Bono eventually fix that whole community up. RIP Sonny Bono.

-Cheers.

My friend had a home with some shipping containers welded down to a concrete slab. A month later he went out and his shipping containers are gone, his car and tractor all gone.

Used the shipping containers to transport the car and the tractor out of Salton City, no doubt.

They did not bother to cut them off the slabs, took the slabs with them.

Ok, so they were "multi-purpose". After they used the slabs to transport the car and the tractor, they were used as housing again. SWEET! Recycling at it's finest!!!
