We're meeting family in Barstow (it's the 1/2 way point for both! of us) this weekend for lunch. Is there anywhere to sit down and have a nice lunch there?
TIA

Pickings are pretty slim, I'd say.

You might look into the Lenwood area, near the outlet mall.
I know that there is a Tommy's Burgers there, but it doesn't sound like what you have in mind.

Peggy Sues 50's Diner

We had breakfast there it was great. Two of our boys had Bacon Cheese Burgers and milkshakes they said they were the best.

Good food, great staff, and an all round fun place.

Peggy Sue's is very kitch. The food is fair. But hey get your lotto tickets there if you visit. I think you'd better try Victorville for more selection, its not that fat off

Hey the first Dunkin Donuts in CA opened in Barstow not too long ago [there's one at camp pendleton, too, but for public access, Barstow is it.] lol. Not a restaurant but good to know for us former east coasters who want the nostalgia fix out west. Apparently, DD will be open a number of CA stores in the next couple of years. woo hoo!

Peggy Sue's was awful and overpriced. The kitsch did not make up for the crap food.
