Kellypink,

If you and your husband are looking to buy a home when you move back, take a look at Victorville. Victorville is an hour from Glendora (without any major backups on the 15 or the 210). Homes are very affordable up here in the High Desert and you would have no problem being able to afford a home on 65k per year (be careful of the neighborhoods that you choose, though). Do keep in mind that most of California has been decimated by the economy. My wife and I are seriously looking at moving to either Arizona or Colorado because I haven't been able to find a job in 10 months. With that in mind, I would STRONGLY encourage your husband to have a job lined up first. The unemployment rate in the Inland Empire is over 14% and is probably somewhere between 15-20% in the High Desert. There is an automall in Victorville with a number of dealers.
