Married couple with Infant may be moving to Palm Springs from San Diego. I'm 29 she's 25 our baby will be 2 months next week. We are looking for neighborhoods close to the airport within 15 minute drive max. Looking to buy home within 3 months of moving condo 2 bed 2 bath or 3 bedroom home with Max budget of $300,000 and rent under $900 2 bd. Walkable, parks, trails, pools near a good hospital. Veteran visiting Palm Springs Tuesday for the first time any neighborhoods you recommend checking out or areas where I should not go great. Any advice on the city let me know.

There is nothing you can rent under $900 for a 2-bedroom. Having just looked around town at apartments, average rent for a 2-bd is now running in the $1150 range.

There is only one hospital in Palm Springs, Desert Regional Medical Center. It's three miles from the airport.

PS: Drop "walkable" as a menu option as it's over 100 a good four months of the year. This is the desert, not San Diego.

I'm from the backwoods country of Georgia also being deployed overseas as well as wife is from the Philippines we don't mind a walk in the sun. Thanks for the hospital info we need access that's not bad at all. $1150 is what were paying now so still pretty good I guess ill keep that in mind. Were still deciding 50/50 on the move more affordable real estate is the only positive over staying in sd and buying condo until we move overseas in 4 years.
