That is false.

It may be cheaper to send manufacturing jobs to Mississippi, but Ashley was moving this part of their chain for multiple reasons mainly to better serve the East Coast and have a more efficient supply chain.

Per the article, Ashley's non-manufacturing jobs have been growing in California over the past few years.
Manufacturing jobs bring money to an area. When we buy things that aren't built in California, we are exporting wealth out of the state.
