And VERY cheap, too.
Heck no! I want to stay far away from Ridgecrest for the duration.

If I HAD to live in that area again, it would be in Inyokern, Buttermilk Acres, or the San Bernardino County portion of unincorporated Ridgecrest.

Basically trailers in the dirt far from city-type built environments.

What's special about the SBC portion of unincorporated Ridgecrest, if I may ask?

Needles for the win...

I did some reading on Needles. It's really sad. High taxes are killing Needles.

The Dying City of Needles, California
Needles in a Nutshell: Nobody wants to stop there when gas is two bucks cheaper down the road.

Baker because I lived in Chicago for so long and I like Gyros.

Second place would be Needles because of the river and proximity to other settled places.

The Dying City of Needles, California
"Other factors contributing to the decline of Needles include extremely high poverty (nearly 29% of the population lived below the poverty line at the time of the 2010 Census), crime rates well above the national average (including violent crime), higher than average unemployment rates, and a lack of clothing and grocery stores. Also during summer months, Needles is often the hottest city in the United States, and sometimes the hottest on Earth."

Wow... I honestly had no idea that Needles was that bad.

But, hey, at least it's not as bad as Barstow or Trona, right?
