Alright, it's hypothetical situation time. Let's say the entire world has exploded and the only two places left to live in the world are Yucaipa and Redlands (remarkably they are left unharmed in all ways despite all this world destruction). You are a single, and in your late 20's - early 30's and looking for some decent nightlife options despite the limited options. You would also like to be in a town where more of your likeminded piers are living in as well. Which place do you choose? Yucaipa or Redlands? Feel free to include rationale to why if you'd like.

And no cheating by saying "I'd rather be dead" or something along those lines. I'm just trying to figure out what is a better place between the two without the "why the hell would you wanna go there? go to LA" responses.

Redlands...hands down. It actually has a nightlife scene, whereas Yucaipa doesn't. Redlands is a college town (University of Redlands)...Yucaipa is antother ticky-tacky exurban community.

Redlands is much better then yucaipa. Much more to do & see. Yucaipa is boring. Redlands has some great areas to live but stay away from east redlands. In redlands i see cops everywhere plus redlands has cameras all over the downtown area. Redlands has a downtown & yucaipa doesnt. Crime in yucaipa has increased. For more local info check out on line the redlands daily facts & yucaipa news mirror.
