OP, if your sponsor has been in it for 5 years, is doing well, and you like her and trust that she can help you build your business to a part-time income level, I don't see that you have much to lose. Like I said, I have friends that live in San Diego that are doing well with different business ventures, including network marketing and direct sales. It really boils down to YOU and your ability to communicate with people, your ability to present both the products and the business to them, follow-up, train (if you're building a sales team below you). I don't believe in the myth of saturation or too many people being involved because (a) most people do not have the same set of friends/acqaintances, and if they do, once you start doing parties/shows/presentations, you will quickly move into other people's spheres of influence (b) most direct sales/network marketing companies have marketing avenues which allow for internet marketing which allows you to reach national and international markets.

I didn't realize that you were asking if people on here knew of Arbonne and that you wanted their thoughts on the product line. First off, I do know about Arbonne and my thoughts on the product line is that they're comparable to other products that other health & wellness companies are presenting. Like I said before, people will buy from you (and join your business) based on your ability to "sell" it. If you've sold other products before, then you know that people are going to say that they can buy similiar health & wellness products at their local health products store or discount drug mart. No one's going to come rushing to buy things from you because it's Arbonne unless they're die-hard Arbonne customers. Make sure that they can't order Arbonne products from Arbonne's site itself instead of coming to you because that alone will cut into your business. I know that I recently bought Avon products from the Avon site without going through an Avon distributor. You're going to be selling the "sizzle" of Arbonne's products (and business), regardless of what Arbonne says.

You wanted to know what other people think of the products? Your success in selling Arbonne's products is going to be dependent on your ability to educate your client on the features and benefits of the Arbonne products. Price is irrelevant if you can't do that. Sure, Arbonne is going to say that you will be successful as long as you sell their product because it is superior to the products of other health & wellness companies. I say that you will be successful if you can convince your potential customer of the benefits the product has to offer them. If products could "sell themselves" (as direct sales companies like to say), then they wouldn't need associates/distributors/consultants, to market them.

Wishing you the best.

Since anyone can buy them on Amazon why bother selling them directly?

I've used Arbonne products and have been to a party where they tried to get me to have a party. No thanks. The products are average, but certainly not worth the price. I hate these types of marketing scams and I run like hell when my friends get involved in marketing these products, so I don't have to go to their ridiculous parties.

Never heard of them but I can tell you the network marketing and that sort of thing isn't for 98% of the population. Not many people are cracked up for that sort of thing. As the other person mentioned, you have to hear no over and over and over again and be ok with that.

Good luck.

So it's called "network marketing" now? Once an MLM, always an MLM. You can put a wolf in sheeps clothing, but it's still a wolf.

Sounds a lot like Cutco, I went to one of their "interviews". What a load of crap.
