Congrats from me, too! I'm guessing we can expect to see some posts from you in the middle of the night.

I am still trying to muster the courage to go in that water even in the "warm" high 60s. Just gonna have to suck it up as I dont think things will be changing in that dept while I am still living here.
Suck it up, man! No, it's not as warm as the Atlantic, but the waves make it so much better. Learn to body surf and you're good. I've been to the beaches in Maine, Cape Cod, Jax and Miami and have never been so bored in my life....why? No waves. period.

Yeah its like a giant bathtub out there.

Now the Sea of Cortez near Cabo was awesome. High salinity+Warm water= lots of float time...especially after a few shots of Herradura anejo

Yeah, unless I'm snorkeling, I don't really enjoy going to the beach if there are no waves. I just love the sound of crashing waves and getting tossed around. Wading in the ocean isn't enough for me. Obviously, I'm not a fan of lakes, either.

Thanks for the link! As usual, the warmest waters seem to be between La Jolla and Oceanside. Here's another one I always check, but the temperature readings seem to be very volatile. Earlier today, Oceanside was reading 69 degrees and Scripps Pier showed 59. A few hours later, Scripps was reading 68 degrees.....WTF?
