looking for a house to rent by early march. no credit, (not bad, not good, 0) so can't buy, must rent. can do $1000/mo. Looking in or very near San Marcos and Escondido, CA. I am just looking to expand out of my apartment but the girl i will be roommating with is in a bind. Her family was in a temporary housing situation and its ran out. She has no where to go. need house due to pets and prefer quiet for our studies. we are both fulltime employed and are college students. Moderator cut: cut if anyone knows of or can connect me with someone who can help. Can't find a leasing/rental realtor anywhere and craigslist is not effective for me at all. Thanks in advance. again this is an emergency situation and need to get in by early march. She has until the 7th.

1000 a month for a house means you will be in the hood or out in the sticks. What College?

I was wondering the same thing. YOu may have to pay a little bit more for pets, but still less than trying to rent a house! Craigslist would be your best bet, idk why you're having trouble there. I have always had pretty good luck with craigslist. Otherwise an apartment complex with management company might be able to accommodate you on short notice.

may have to go with apartment. main reasons we wanted house was to have a yard for the dog, wanted garage to protect and work on our cars, quiet from not sharing walls with neighbors. but with the timecrunch, may have to go with apartment.
