Yes! The SD references and scenery in the first one were classics. Can't wait to see what they come up with for II. Will SD still be German for "Whale's vagina?"

As long as they photoshop out Petco and replace it with vacant lots and porn shops. I saw that and people got tired of me saying "Petco wasn't there yet!"

yeah, I was wondering how they would show the city when some things weren't around then.

i had read that most of the first movie was shot in long beach. hopefully they use legit SD scenery in the sequel. its amazing that a movie like anchorman took 3 years to make! i always watch it the night before my SD trips. "this morning i woke up, and i sh_t a squirrel"...priceless.

The movie had the Coronado Bridge and Balboa Park, but that was the only legit San Diego icons it had in it.

LA is only up the coast about an hour and a half so it is not that far for the production crews to do some shots here.

Actually, they used a bridge up around Long Beach.

All shots with actors are in Long Beach, with a few being in LA.

They have some helicopter shots of Coronado bridge, but the scene where the dog is kicked off the Coronado bridge is the Queens bridge in Long Beach. The standoff with Frank Mantooth is the light house in by the Pike in LB.

The helicopter landing by a circular hotel looking building is in LB, not near the Holiday Inn in Downtown SD.

They get such a great SD vibe in the first movie, but it is shot mostly in LB.

I lived in SD for 30years and have been in LB for 2.

It is really obvious were they shot the film being familiar with both areas
