We're considering a job at Rady Childrens hospital. We'd like to live within 15 minutes of the hospital in an area that has great public schools from k-12.

Suggestions???

University City or Scripps Ranch. Poway if you can deal with another 5-10 minutes of driving

Tierrasanta is closest, and schools are good through K-8 but not the high school

If you could do Poway, then also consider Rancho Penasquitos (across I-15 from Poway).

An important consideration ... does the 15 minutes' apply also during rush hour? If so, ignore Scripps, Poway, and Rancho Penasquitos.

do you mean that you can't get from Scripps, Poway, or Rancho Penasquitosto Rady in 15 minutes during rush hour?

Is the high school in university city very good?

I doubt you could get from Scripps, Poway or RP to Rady in 15 minutes during rush hour. But I don't regularly drive there during rush hour, so I hope if I'm wrong that someone will let me know.
