My husband and I moved to California almost a year ago. We are both mexicans with bachelor degree in business administration. No children yet. We were living in Vancouver Canada, but we wanted a better weather so we ended up renting an apartment in San Marcos. BAD DECISION!
Anyway.. we want to move and open a bakery somewhere else in a nicer area!! Any suggestions for us? The bakery won't be like a mexican Panaderia, but we will offer some fine mexican bread along with french breads, pastries (vegan and gluten free alternatives)
Any suggestions? Rancho Bernardo o Rancho Penasquitos? Somewhere else? We would really appreciate your help!!

PQ vs RB is like vanilla vs vanilla bean ice cream, if you get my drift. As for the shop's location, you probably would want to open somewhere without any real competition. Perhaps 4S if the rent isn't too bad? The shopping plazas there get a lot of foot traffic, so I could see a bakery doing well.

How about Eastlake/Otay Ranch? Beautiful and fairly upscale, very Diverse population, closer to central San Diego and I would love a good bakery close by.

Nicer neighborhood = Whitebread Gringos who only know Taco Bell or El Torito some of the time. I'd recommend Eastlake/Otay Ranch also = higher hispanic population + affluence = target customers for your growing business.

OP, sadly I must agree with this. Plus, RP and RB each have "Swedish" bakeries, so there's already competition there for business from us "whitebread gringos".
