Who's going?

Should be a cluster

I'm figuring out a plan B just in case we can't storm Delmar in proper fashion. Is the shuttle leaving the horsey park?

I'll be there along with the masses. It's crowded and people don't know what they're doing at the betting windows, but opening day at Del Mar is a San Diego summer tradition.
As for the shuttle buses, I don't think they run from Horse Park like they do during the Fair, but I could be wrong. All I know is they run double-decker buses from the Solana Beach train station to the track.

I think you are right from what I've heard about the train station. We'll have to do a coin toss flip about Governor (last chance to u-turn) if the traffic is bad enough.

We used to take the Coaster up all the time to Solana and take the double decker. Its really a great option.

We are going on Saturday, not opening day. Should be fun, just wish the season lasted a smidge longer.
