Why do people brag about loving California? Why do people brag about how great 'their' sports team, and how horrible their rivals are, even when the W-L record clearly indicates otherwise? Why do people pray to have their own land blessed and another's subdued? Why do hate crimes persist everywhere, all the time?

Um, if you want to make the "people from other states are flooding our area and ruining it for the rest of us!" argument, the San Diego forum is not the place to do it. There are so many transplants here from all over (even the Great State of Texas!!) that we natives sometimes forget where we are. Please .. different strokes for different folks. Its just too easy to pick on California. So many aspects of CA are in the main stream that it may go against the grain of how people everywhere else live their lives. Almost like it represents some kind of perceived false reality made up of celluloid.
