wow. I had just said the other day I have never felt an earthquake in my 3 years here. I just did. I couldn't know for sure but I was sitting on the floor and my butt started moving, and I wasn't dancing lol. My couch was pushing into me as, I had my back to it and I was like what the heck? I knew it had to be an earthquake or I was going crazy cause my place was moving.

I got up and looked around, nothing.

But then, I was right! Earthquake...

Mid-City, near SDSU (Talmadge) - didn't feel it. Only knew about it because it was on the radio news.

yeah, that is what suprised me. I felt it, then researched it. It was a good couple of minutes before I could confirm that it was an earthquake.

I think, perhaps because I was sitting on the floor I felt it even more.

Also, I'm in Carlsbad which is probably further north than many in the SD area.

I have read that lots in the SD area have felt it too.

I swear ever since I moved to California I "think" I feel an earthquake once a day, especially paranoid when I'm in the shower....

Ironically the first earthquake I ever felt was a couple years ago in Colorado while sitting in a chair in my living room. My husband who was directly above me upstairs thought I was jumping around! Um no, can't make the house shift back and forth like that! Sometime over the last year or so I felt my first one in San Diego, while sitting on the couch watching tv. Felt a small noticeable movement and heard some creaking but my "ultra sensitive" dog didn't lift an eyelid next to me! I hope these are the extent of my only experiences with them!
