Just curious because I don't get the paper but what day or days do they put grocery coupons inserts in them? Or is there a online place to get coupons?

I haven't gotten the paper in years. There were never any coupons that I could use, and I got tired of wasting my money. I get all of my coupons from the internet now., and they're from various different sites.

The Sunday paper! But one thing I've noticed is that there are Sundays that have no coupons. It happens once every other month or so. I got my morning LA times, no coupons. I checked out the Phoenix paper at the airport, no coupons. OC Register that day had none as well (as confirmed by a friend). It happens every so often. Odd!

often no coupons on holiday weekends like labor, memorial day etc.
try to offset price of paper with coupons though coupons are often for crappy, processed, corporate food like the hybrid frankenstein creations, fusing mutliple bad foods together, making them even more revolting

This is interesting, I never see coupons like that. I currently have coupons for Thomas' English muffins, Kings Hawaiian rolls, Challenger butter, cheese, Hefty slider bags, and Fancy Feast cat food. I also have coupons for Farmland bacon or ham, and coupons for fresh pork. I don't consider these crappy, processed corporate food. I've used my coupons for April already, I'm now watching for coupons for my May grocery trip.

There are some basic items as you listed but frequency decreasing, but Often the velveeta-cheese-filled-cinn-a-buns, or oreo-crumpled-topped-pretzels monsters make their debut in the coups...

They are usually to try to get you to try new products. I go through phases of keeping up with coupons, sometimes I think I end up spending more because I'm getting products I wouldn't normally get. It does get me to try new things though. I think as coupons get digitized with apps, the Sunday clippings will go down.

I've never even seen any of these coupons. I have several sites that I get them from, and they don't have any of that stuff listed. The frequency of the items that I get aren't decreasing, they vary from month to month. I also subscribe to several couponing blogs and people will list what and where good coupons are. You just have to know where to get them from. I've been couponing for years, so I know how to find them.
