I did my best to be all inclusive my friend, there were so many varying regional maps to choose from so I went with the one I felt was most succinct and simple to read.

For example, in the census bureau maps Texas is designated as "The South" but I disagree with that feeling that Texas is part of The South West. I am from San Antonio, someone from Houston would likely disagree with me.

Someone from Utah or Colorado might identify as "Mountain Region" versus West but again, the intent was to be succinct and all inclusive.

Midwest until after college graduation... Then down to Dallas for many years. Then an entrepreneurial stint down in South America for almost a decade and I plan to make San Diego my home for the foreseeable future and raise my kids here. I can't see ever leaving this place.

Exactly.... How can Ohio be "Midwest" when it's only ONE state removed from the Atlantic?

SoCal native, grew up in desert, worked, did undergrad in greater LA, grad school at SDSU, stayed over 30 years. Spouse came from Chicago at age 7 with parents, had the good fortune of growing up in San Diego when it was akin to paradise, stayed nearly 50 years.

I'm a Native. 23 years old. Currently attending SDSU. When I'm done with my college education, I'm thinking about moving somewhere else for a while to see some place new.

Native born at North Island Naval Hospital, Coronado, with first home in La Jolla. Obviously I no longer live there and actually haven't for 65 years. I'm sure there are many of us scattered around and no longer in he vicinity, especially us military brats.

Not sure if I can answer since I live just over the curtain, very close to San Diego. In any case, I am a native San Diegan... Bay Park (briefly) to La Jolla, then later Carlsbad. There was a long stint in LA, but then back to SD, then to SF, then back to SD, then back to LA, then back to SD, then to DC, back to SD and now OC. Whew... a REAL CALIFORNIAN and San Diegan
