Survey: San Diego is 10th most courteous driving city | UTSanDiego.com

San Diego is 10th most courteous driving city? Compared to what?!?!?

"When compared to drivers in other cities, survey participants in San Diego are:
· 5th least likely to see other driver run a red light
· 3rd least likely to observe another driver talking on a cell phone or texting while driving"

I see those things happen ALL THE TIME! I think maybe San Diego drivers are the 10th biggest liars on driving surveys.

Have you driven in LA much? People will you dead in the eye after not letting you over and laugh at you. While in stop and go traffic with the windows down, my mom had her turn signal on to change the lanes and the lady got up to us and actually yelled "I don't think so" out the window. I've worked in SD a lot and never had that happen to me. Also, it happens in LA more from my experience, but I love when people talk on speakerphone and hold the phone under their chin like it's "handsfree" there. Please...lol

I have driven through LA recently. I was appalled! It's now as bad as San Diego. When I lived there in the late 80's, traffic was heavy but drivers were skilled and courteous. No longer.

I don't know if people are more angry these days. I just think things get caught on camera a lot more than they used to so it seems we are more angry.

Yeah I'm in la now, wow I thought I was a fast driver but holy shiznit! It's like everybody's driving a rental car. Very aggressive driver to say the least.

I'm sure that too and I get it! But that "female" thing coulda have something to do with it. . She could only be a resident of pacific beach or Hillcrest. What female drives a truck?

They're better than any other city I've lived in (Boston, Providence, Philadelphia, Washington DC).

New England drivers are as discourteous as can be - - they'll cut off your lane of traffic just so they can make a left hand turn into traffic.

San Diego driving is pretty hell-bent when you hit the freeways, but it's not totally disrespectful. In L.A., however, I was scared to drive up there. Those people are lunatics. At least people here move over when I signal to change lanes, so I don't really have any problems getting around.
