Coming from Texas the home pictured looks like a weekend camping hostel.

Here's a listing for a 4 BR in Santee, which is way nicer/safer than El Cajon.

I highly doubt that if someone took 125 to 94 to the airport. And how likely is it that someone would be driving to the airport to catch a flight during rush hour? Probably would be on the road much earlier.

It doesn't take me nearly an hour to commute from La Mesa to Sorrento Valley. Commuting downtown would be a walk in the park by comparison.

I leave for work up near Poway each morning around 6 am and the reports I hear reveal that 125 52 and 94 are routinely the trouble spots.

Yup, getting downtown from East County doesn't take that long not even during rush hour.

Maybe AADAD thinks we take the 52 and down the 5 to get downtown. The only reason to take the 52 from East County is to go to North County. Otherwise its the 8 or the 125/94 all the way.

Do you go in off downtown 94 or in from up top on the 8?

^^^I live on the Lakeside/El Cajon border, so for me to get to the airport it is faster to go 8 to 125 to 94 and go up the 5 for one exit.

The alternative is 8 to 163 and then up 5 for one exit which adds like 2-3 mins without traffic.

I only use the 52 if going North of the 52 or when going to the Kearny Mesa area just South of the 52.

For someone in Santee closer to 67 or 125, I suppose it would be 67/125 to/past the 8 to the 125 to the 94 and go up the 5 for one exit. Or get to the 8 and then take 163 South and up one exit on the 5.

When I pick up out of town guests, I take the 5/163 North to the 8 just because it is prettier than the 94. LOL

I think this is overstating the prices a bit. I live in Sabre Springs in the Poway school district, and you can get good houses in the $600K-$650K range...here are some examples:
