Although it's early in the season, I'm ready to cast my vote for the Padres' MVP. It's a tie between owner Ron Fowler, who opened his wallet to lure talented players, and general manager A.J. Preller, who used that money to sign the right players. Lots of excitement during opening week. Hopefully, it'll last all season.

Fans are really jazzed. They said the 4 games played at home so far, have had the highest attendance ever!

I am not ready to forgive Fowler - too early - the road to redemption is long for him.

Another peeve are these headlines that go "Tyson Ross throws a gem as Padres fall 1-0 to NameThatTeam", as if to minimize the Loss. Or "Upton crushes two homers as Friars drop one to NameAnotherTeam"

See Fowler and Dee are up to their old dirty tricks:

#‎Padres‬ rally for 4 runs in the 9th to force extra innings, but fall to the Cubs.
Kemp hits first Padres home run

How about this for head line: "Padres Lost"

See, no need for seidler's and suds sultan fowler's ol' shenanigans with yesterday's headline above.
They won a solid series against an interesting Cubbie club (cashner>rizzo this time).
They say you don't get to the playoffs in April, but you can guarantee not being there, so in that sense, seems a very nice half-month+ for the friars - just need to bring brown back baby.
