You two need to hook up with CYNC. ^^ LOL.

Mugsy usually has good posts, I think he is the poster from the Imperial Beach area. The post was at 2AM, we'll just assume he wasn't at his best for undisclosed reasons.

LA has great options, though considerably more spread out and completely car dependent, that I frequented on a weekly basis (from Long Beach to Manhattan Beach to Santa Monica to Beverly Hills to Pasadena to Sunset Strip) for more excitement and diversity when I lived in OC.
And see, that was my point, you can't compare DTSD to cities places like NYC, Chicago or SF. Those are world class cities. Downtown is just another neighborhood of SD and nothing more. You go there for jury duty, a Padres game, street festivals, concerts, a date night in Little Italy, among other things. Suburbanites aren't flocking to downtown St. Louis, Phoenix, Dallas or Atlanta on a regular basis are they?

The last place I would suggest to New Yorkers is to visit Downtown SD LOL The funny thing is I have 3 friends who moved here about a year ago from Jersey and they like going downtown. They're a little bit younger so of course they like the rooftops bars, The Quartyard (is it even still open?),or any place serving craft beer. They lived near Jersey City/Hoboken (Did the Gaslamp move East?)so that might explain why they still like going downtown haha

Yes, the Quartyard is still open. I don't know when it's going to close, though.
