I'm hoping this Thread stays on the facts and it doesn't turn into a Anti gun, Racist Thread.
I personally think, this guy was just suicidal and it didn't matter who at the pool, this Coward of a man was going to shoot people and end his own life.

I want to know a lot more about the guy before jumping to this conclusion. He certainly could have been suicidal, but the victims are the victims - - he could have gone elsewhere to do his shooting. Maybe the eyewitnesses will have something to say about this (were there whites around the pool that he wasn't shooting at, for example).

Prayers to the victims.

I was in Vista, CA on Sunday evening and around same time 6pm there was about 8 patrol cars which I believe included those from Oceanside police, SD Sheriff, and possibly CHP were traveling down various roads with sirens ablazing. There were more sirens as the night went on. I wonder was such a large response related to the incident down in La Jolla? Maybe they suspected some one who is armed and dangerous that had relations with the shooting had escaped to North County from La Jolla? Its extremely rare to see so many police cars responding in pursuit mode. As its the only major news story involving a large police response I could find.
