The laundromat that I went to in TJ was self serve, and I did my laundry myself, as I always have done, and still do.

Are you sure it wasn't $4.50 in Mexican currency? Confusingly, they use the dollar sign when they mean pesos.

I never used pesos when I lived there, only USD. Since you have such a fixation about Tijuana, why don't you just go spend some time there. I had a really nice apartment for $250/month, but the inconvenience wasn't worth it to keep living there.

If they listed $4.50 and meant pesos, you should have considered paying them in pesos.

Why didn't you rent one with w&d?

Since you've obviously never been inside an apartment in Mexico, they don't come with appliances, if you want them, you buy your own. I bought a refrigerator, but not a stove, and even if I wanted a w/d, my apartment didn't have hookups.

The house that I'm renting now (that I'm moving out of soon), has a w/d, and I don't use it, either.

All these list "w&d in unit" :

America is a free country, I suppose. You don't have to wash your clothes, if you don't feel like it.

It all depends on where you rent, and I prefer not run up water or electric bills. It's easier for me to take my clothes to the laundromat.

We were talking about TJ. The CL link was for TJ. You made a claim that all Mexican apartments are rented without w&d. If you can't remember what you wrote, you can always scroll up a bit.

Sure, if 50% more murders per capita is a "long mile" (TJ vs St. Louis) This was already listed in the table I posted though.
