I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with on this. The Season Ticket Holders quit caring way before 2015. There are articles going back to the late 90's on how San Diego Chargers Games are home games for other Teams. And I get it, Management for the chargers have always been inept, and asleep at the wheel(Looking at you Dean Spanos and Gene Klein R.I.P)
In the Late 90's we Raiders fans made it a point to "out number Chargers fans at Chargers Games"
So much so that, the Chargers front office implemented that. Raider fans had to buy tickets to other home games just to get 1 ticket to the Raiders Charger Game.
Remember that crap

Actually you had to buy extra tickets for many of the bigger teams, not just the Raiders. I’d hear friends, and visiting fans of the Steelers, Patriots, Cowboys, etc complain in my bar and on the trolley about it. I said in my post that the Raiders would be the exception with matching, or exceeding Charger fans. I also remember in the mid to late 2000’s when the Chargers rolled off 12 straight victories against the Raiders they we took the stadium back by a noticeable margin. But yeah the Raider game was always sh** show, one reason why so many would sell their tickets because it wasn’t worth dealing with it, and Raider fans would pay more than any other team.

And yes many season ticket holders did stop caring well before 2015, we were getting jerked around with threats of moving since the early 2000’s. The only thing that didn’t make most stop caring was the good, but underachieving, teams we had.

Agree
I also think Firing Marty after a 14-2 didn't help matters with the fan base.
My thing is, no other fan base acted like the Chargers fan base with selling there season tickets for Profit.
Try and get a ticket to A Packers, Steeler, Giant, Cowboys, Dolphins Game. Even in their downs years the fan base was loyal. Even in the Dan Fouts days it was hard as hell to find a Ticket to the Raider Chargers game.
As a Raider fan i hate seeing the Chargers go through this, The NFL is better when The Chargers and Raiders are good
