I am surrounded by neighbors who own 2-6 dogs per household. I live in an older house on a cul de sac.
I am seeking advice for keeping the fly population down.

I have 4 cats and they bury their dumps when in the backyard, or they go in their litter boxes and bury that waste also. I feed them raw so they have white poop too

You can also buy fly traps in Home Depot. I've used these, and they fill up with flies very quickly.

6 dogs in a residential neighborhood, yikes! What city do you live in? Many have ordinances where you’re only allowed 2-4 max. The city of San Diego I believe is 6 though.

I had an issue recently with flies the best trap I used- I bought a fly trap bag that you filled with water it worked well attracting the flies and then trapping them. Keep the bag away from your door though because you are essentially drawing them with this trap to the bag. The bag will last about month and then it stinks really bad - smell of dead fly and you will get a lot of flies in the bag.

I also used very cheap fly strips and they worked really well. I bought a 10 pack and traded them out every week I put up 5 around the perimeter of my patio.

These do work really well. I think there's some sort of attractant in there that mixes with the water, though. I've used them, and they fill up with flies pretty fast.

They're gross though so this is a last resort. Like someone else pointed out, they will attract flies. I used them once because the neighbor of a new home did not get trash service for 1 1/2 years and used the construction dumpsters instead.

The dumpsters only got dumped every 30 days or so. I pleaded with him to get his own trash service but eventually had to point out the civil code of the law he was breaking and he finally got curbside service like everybody else.
