Hi.
I've lived in both (currently in SLC) and I prefer SD.
I want to know what your opinions are. Which one stacks up better and why?

Never been to SLC, but I love SD. Can't imagine living in SLC, though. Seems so far away. IN LA/SD/Phx area you can drive to so many places.

Too many mormons in SLC. Not sure how or why you would really try to compare the 2 anyway...

Man, this is not even a fair comparison.

I agree limitup--In my mind there really is no comparison. I want to move to San Diego with my fiance, but he is pretty against it (despite never having been there.) I guess I just want to compile a list of reasons San Diego is better than Salt Lake City to help convince him.

I've never lived in SLC but I have family who lives in and nearby (who've been there for 30 or so years). The advantages of SD I can think of are:

1) Weather.
2) Diversity of ideas, as well as of ethnicity.

Scenery ... not so much. The Wasatch Range is one of the more wonderfully scenic places I've ever seen!

I didn't want to bring up the religious thing. SOme people are not looking at that. Obviously in Mormon HQ, that is more a pressing matter than in SD. FOr me, that is one of the main reasons I could not live there.

I think this would get more responses if it was moved to the City vs. City forum.
