No, but that would be great, and I love the name. Although going to a 33rd and probable 34th team in an major sport is opening up a big expansion can of worms. I think 32 is a good number. I'd prefer one of the LA teams comes back to SD.

We bought season tickets to the Rams (we lived in St Louis during the 90s). I really need to see what a $5B stadium looks like.

Sculpins sponsored by Ballast Point beer.
Along with Stone's, the best IPA from SD.

That's how the author picked the name of the new NFL team in San Diego. He likes Sculpins beer and the colorful logo.

A really good beer and a good name for a football squad that people would get behind that is NOT the Chargers.

It is one of our more popular beers...one can find Stone and Ballast Point in many markets across the country. Once in a while I'll find Green Flash's beers in other parts of the country.

It takes about six regular cans of Ballast Point Fathom IPA's to get me singing out loud, with Sculpin I'm singing out loud pretty much after the third can of beer.

If this gets anywhere close, someone in San Diego with influence will find a way to make it not happen, just like MLS. Our "patented move" as a city is finding a way to not have basic things we should easily have like pro sports!!

It's 7% alcohol. I just looked it up. That's approaching the alcohol content of wine.

The NFL will never expand, and if they do, San Diego would be the last city to get a team.
A NBA or NHL team is more of a reality. The guy that owns Ali baba wants to bring a professional team to San Diego. He does have a ownership in the Brooklyn nets, so the NBA might be out of the question. Maybe NHL???
The sports arena is being torn down next year, supposedly.

You know your stuff. Joe Tsai would love to bring a professional team to San Diego. With $10B to his name, he can make a lot of things happen.

I've heard many rumors about the Sport Arena's demise over the years. But nothing seems solid yet.

And I agree with you on the NFL. We just don't have the corporate sponsorship money to support an NFL team.
