Nope! I lived in San Diego for 5 years and couldn't wait to leave when it was time. I have zero interest in ever living there again.

I’m surprised at all the negative responses here. I always said if I came back to California San Diego would be my choice. Maybe it’s changed since I was last there 10 years ago?

if you look at the survey results, 7/10 want to live here, but 50% of those that do, can't or won't, mostly due to the cost of housing it would seem.

You mean that a desireable place to live will cost more than elsewhere?!??
Who coulda known it'd be like that??

A lot has changed in the last 10 years... namely, there are many more people.

The draw to San Diego for me is the proximity of Mexico the weed and the good weather. I feel I made the right choices in that regard and coming from NYC it was the right choice with Covid as well.

My disappointment here is the food. I think I am in the Midwest somewhere. All these fresh fruits and veggies and farm products but few people know what to do with them. Enter TJ and all the glorious food down there.
I thought there would be more places to hang out in North County but I haven't found my groove up here. I think I belong in South Bay more. I look forward to moving down there this March.

Otherwise I am my happiest when I am down in Mexico for two weeks a month but it's all nice to relax in SD when I return . I miss "flavor" meaning people with style and snap to their chatter but I also like the SD mind your business attitude where nobody really bothers anyone .

I'd move here again for one reason only; the weather!

A lot of the people here are boring as hell compared to the east coast where I'm from. No personality beyond politeness...talk about themselves mostly. I've seen this a lot in the 16yrs I've been here. People were so much more real on the east coast in my opinion.

But the weather is tops here and luckily I can afford to live here quite easily. Oh and it's great being able to buy weed so easily as well!
