Commuting from Miramar/Mira Mesa area, I am looking for ways to get to the SAN airport. Lyft and Uber are priced around $40 min one way.

I see there is train/bus transit option too from Mirama transit station. Guess that's the option I can use. Any other option I should be aware of?

Are there any park and ride spots along the way, where you can park your car for free and take a train/bus for there to airport?

TIA

A Rapid will get you downtown. Not sure about the airport but the 992 Flyer runs through downtown to the airport.

Before the OP can go anywhere, an address has to be put into the trip planner, and that will show the information on how to get to the airport.

Transit works fine if your luggage is manageable.

If by Miramar Transit Station you mean Miramar College, it's the very nice 235 Bus to Downtown. Switch at City College to the 992. Be sure to know which Terminal your airline flies out of.

If you don't have the new purple Pronto card, it looks like you'll have to pay $6. Try to have at least $1 in quarters, and the rest in $1s.

It looks like it will be less than an hour on a weekday during the day.

Thank you.

So I downloaded Pronto app and was assuming I should buy the ticket within the app? Should I still buy the card?

If you're going to riding public transportation a lot, buy the card, if you're not, just buy it within the app. I take the bus/trolley to work, and have the card, because it's much easier for me.

Makes sense. I don't foresee me traveling a lot. Maybe once in a month...thanks.

It sounds like it would be better just to use the app in your phone, because I use my bus pass almost every day.
